Special Events

During the year there are several events made available to students.

  • Breakaway
This conference is held each year in February and sponsored by Central Region Student Ministries of Open Bible Churches.  The conference location changes from year to year held at some of the regions nicest hotels.  Breakaway boasts three jam-packed days of fun, incredible bands, and life changing messages. • Summer Camps
Each summer students from Heartland have the opportunity to attend camp at Sunstream Conference Center in Boone Iowa.  Camp spans two weeks and is divided by grade (Jr. and Sr. High).  Summer camp is an experience that students will remember for the rest of their lives.

  • Mission Trips
Students have the opportunity to choose from a selection of mission trips sponsored by our Nation Youth Department.  Global Outreach Unlimited Trips are led by seasoned staff, surprisingly affordable, and well planned.  Few experiences compare with that of stepping foot on foreign soil and seeing the world through different eyes.  For more information, check out GOU's website.
